Default '05 S Type

Greetings everybody!

My name is Alex and I live in MD. We bought an '05 S type 3.0 with the sports package for my mom about 1.5 years ago. Been a good car so far, I enjoy it in sport mode in particular.

My mom hit a big pothole a few weeks back and bent 2 of the wheels a bit. They are the 18 Triton wheels. I am trying to see if it would be cheaper to pick up 2 used wheels instead of having ours repainred. What do Tritons go for used around here?

As for me, I have a 2003 Mazdaspeed Protege with a whole bunch of mods. Fun little car. I do enjoy driving the Jag whenever I can.

Thanks!!

Welcome to the forum Alex,

For good answers you should post your question in the wheels and tires section or the S type section.

welcome alex! Before you buy new rims, take them off the car, and deliver them to the nearest tire store that 'outsources' wheel refinishing. With current repair technology, you can now repair wheels to a perfectly balanced result, as long as the wheel is not cracked or otherwise structurally deformed. I've had a couple bent rims 'straightened' and re-finished to look like new again, for around $150 each. That's ALOT cheaper than a new or even used wheel. Call around for a few prices, and i bet you can repair it.

Welcome to the forum!

Oh one other thing you need to put your car details in your signature. I am speaking of the Year, Make & Model. Without it you may not get the input you are looking for.

Please take a moment and read the information provided to you explaining the rules. Be patient and enjoy the site.

Can anybody tell me if any aftermarket wiper blade replacement will work? Our Jag is an 05 with the nozzles in the wiper blade assembly? Also, how does one take the rubber blade off? I can get the thing in an upright position due to the hood.

thanks

I will move your question over to the S-Type area in hopes to get your question answered.

Hello Alex welcome to the forum, pity your mom isn't posting, we need the input of more women around here at times !!

Being an 05 here is a link to a simple check that should be looked at every time you are under the hood. They are called IMT O-rings and are a common known fault.
