Hello fantastic site had XJ8 for 6 months now .Car started up as normal ran for few seconds then stopped and would not restart this was January this year .So far have changed new battery checked all battery terminals for correct voltage all same as battery 12.87 all way up to front terminals , the fuel pump has been changed after reading a few post here now showing at manifold 44 psi ( previously was 30 psi) had all spark plugs out and all sparking as well as see injectors depositing fuel in all cylinders. Had car in neutral several times as well have also checked for Bore wash and cleaned Camshaft sensor and crankshaft thanks for any assistance

Good to have you with us. As a 1998, it must be a four door X308 and not a two door XJS. Was that a typo for XJ8 or XJR?
