1998 XK8 Coupe New Member
After many years admiring the XK8 I have eventually bought one. A rash moment after my good lady wife advised me she didn't want to ride pillion on a motorbike. She had smiles all over her face when she saw the XK8.
The car seems to have been well loved, it looked almost perfect on the garage fourcourt, had a full service history and has only covered 57000 miles. It now resides in teh UK near Bristol.
The XK8 is in addition to my 1974 series 2 Daimler Double Six which I have owned for a number of years. It drives beautifully, has never been welded and uses far too much petrol.
I have joined this forum as a DIY mechanic that likes cars to work properly. I haev done a lot of work on the Daimler and now want to resolve a few niggles on teh XK8. This forum has already helped me diagnose and then replace a faulty micro switch in the door latch.
