Default Just got 2004 XK8

Hello, I am new here, just got my 2004 XK8 convertible a week ago and am heart broken to have the first snow fly, and will be waiting anxiously for next spring to get the new baby out of the garage. Meanwhile I hope to detail her, and find out more about the car this winter. I am thankful I found this group and expect to be looking for help from some of the experienced owners on this board. I had a 1988 XJ6 before but other than the name this si a whole new car to me.

It totally sucks pond water when it snows on your fun time, doesn't it!
You'll find lots of help and assistance in here, along with a bit of camaraderie too.
Welcome from ElinorB.

Default 2004 XK8 - Already a Classic

Just picked up 2004 XK8 Convertible - a week ago. I am in Canada and weather for it is getting iffy I don't want her to know about snow or salt. I went home at noon to get it out and brought it to work for the first time. to show it to a couple of the car guys. It is a fairly small auto parts plant I work in so lots of car people. The owner and his wife came over to see it; she got in, was going on about ther leather and the wood and how well it fit. Not sure her husband was pleased. He drives a Infinity GS350 AWD and just got a new red Mercedes Convertible 2 seater a few weeeks ago. His wife asked if they could have something like the it. This morning she told me the Mercedes was OK, but it didn't have any class like my car.

David,

I've merged your two Intro threads from yesterday and today otherwise you'd find everyone repeating their advice.

After the work visit today you could have some trouble getting the next pay rise!
