Default Greeting, youse guys...

I am a "new" guy. I acquired this beauty about 4 years ago, and have spent the intervening time, well... fixing everything. She is a "LUMP", with a Chevy 350 tuned port engine. Beautiful, but.. finicky. I'm not quite sure, but I suspect this is the automotive equivalent of a "high maintenance woman". Truthfully, I didn't know what what I was getting into. But, I'm in it now, and so... here we go

Default Welcome to Jaguar Forums

Welcome [chronicnetpro]. Greetings from Jaguar fans in Australia, and it's great to have you join us. Others closer to Washington will be along shortly to add their welcome and advice. Can I offer a tip that will reward you enormously in all your future JaguarForum activities ...
  • as an XJS owner, you will have worked out that the XJS Forum is the place to browse or ask for technical advice, but the fact you have an XJS (and which variant) will be lost ... unless, you add your car details to your signature (see mine) with model, year, engine variant, any other mods - all of which ensures that those advising you are accurate and relevant. Go to <User CP> on the Main Menu bar; work down and click on <Edit Signature>. Similarly, you can add a logo or pic (perhaps the one you have posted, but as a smaller thumbnail) to your avatar. Done once, now each of your posts will carry them permanently.
All that remains [chronicnetpro], is to see you dive in ... and enjoy,
Ken

Welcome to the forum chronicnetpro,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

XJS looks good and in my favourite colour.

I can see you have already found your way to the XJS tech forum so there's no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the USA Mid Atlantic Region forum by following this link USA Mid Atlantic - MD VA DC DE WV - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham

Hello, to another Chevy Conversion owner!
Less Upkeep More Power!!
Ohh, that my 350 was tuned, let alone ported! But alas, mine is only SMOG Detuned.

And if you think your Chevy is finicky, just wait till you get a load of what the V12 guys deal with! Not all of them mind you, but enough to give one pause.

Welcome from ElinorB.
