Default Hi all,

Hi all,
My name is Alan and I have just joined this forum.
i am an incurable British vehicle tragic with a garage including Jaguar X300, Jaguar XK8, Range Rover HSE, MGB, Sunbeam Talbot, Norton Commando, Triumph T160 Trident and Triumph T140 Bonnie.
i have just purchased a real 'pig in a poke, barn find'. A 1978 Daimler Double Six. I believe that cleaned up it will look very presentable in excellent original condition.
i fully understand that these were very expensive, very complex machines with expensive operating costs when new, now they can be a nightmare but nevertheless I couldn't let it go.
my wife previously owned a beautiful blue Series III XJ6 Sovereign so I am reasonable familiar with working on these cars though the 5.3 is totally new to me. It's most obvious fault is a collapsed hood lining
i will rely on this forum to assist me in working on this car.
i will post various updates

looking forward to conversing with various members
al

Welcome.

Well done.

The V12 is basically simple, and will need a very systematic approach, and just let it all flow.

Good luck.
