Welcome to the Forums.

The X Type Tech Section will have the answers and "how to" for what ails the beast.

Good luck.

Welcome to the forums Rich,

Good to have you with us.

P1647 is a regular. The possible cause are:
HO2 Sensor 2/1 heater failure
HO2 Sensor 2/1 sensing circuit short circuit to ground, short circuit to high voltage, open circuit
ECM Failure

It usually turns out to be an HO2S failure.

Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.

Please add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.

You can also visit the US Northeast Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/us-northeast-35/ to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.
