Subject line says it all really - I bought my first Jag this week after spending many hours not telling the wife what I was browsing Autotrader for.

It has a bunch of issues, but I bought it as a project and that's the fun of it.

Welcome to the forum! My story is similar to yours - my first Jaguar was an XJ8 - brought from a dealer as a part exchange car they needed to shift from the forecourt just as we needed a new car. we had always thought Jaguars were out of our reach.. but as soon as we had it I fell for it :-) No other manufacturer of car makes me as happy as Jaguar :-) I hope you enjoy your time on here - nowhere else will you find a friendlier bunch of Jaguar fans and with such a wealth of info to get you started on your new project.. you are very welcome :-)
If you have a good look in the UK section you will see a range of events go on through the year - and they are a great excuse for cleaning, polishing and showing off your new car *plus* you get to put names to cars and faces.. some of the events are quite family orientated as well if that helps.
