Default New guy in oregon

Evening Ladies and Gents!

I am a younger person, a college student to be exact. I am attending Oregon State University and studying mechanical engineering. I do own a ford truck, 1993 f-250 XLT supercab, see garage, but if i am to own a car i am very particular (very few cars I enjoy in the least) only jags, fords, and a coulple others make the cut. I am contemplating buying my first car, its a "mechanics special" jag for about $700, might be able to get it for less and slowly work on it. See thread in the xj6 forum in classics, Its a 1985. I enjoy tinkering, welding, woodworking, hunting, fishing, the outdoors and shop settings in general. I may not be much of a mechanic on anything newer than a 1950 ford pickup, but with a manaul and a couple of people to ask questions i can usually figure it out. And that about sums me up for now

Welcome to the forum Hobby welder,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

The vendor could have discovered the correct name by looking at the badge on the back! It's an XJ6 Series III Vanden Plas.

I can see you've already found your way to the XJ6 Series I, II & III forum so no need for a link to it from me.
The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for info on regular issues.

You can also visit the USA Northwest Region forum by following this link USA Northwest - Washington/Oregon/Idaho & SW Canadians - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum
to find other members in your region.

Enjoy the forums.

Graham
