Default New Jag XJ6 owner

Hi All...
I recently purchased a 1996 XJ6 this year, and haven't had much time to drive/ or work on it. Looking forward to putting many kilometers on it.
I have it safetied and roadworthy, but now experiencing low voltage where it doesn't want to turn the engine over.
I'm thinking its a weak battery or alternator, or a short somewhere causing a draw on the battery.
Any suggestions is appreciated.

Thanks All for the warm greetings.
I hope to learn lots from the forum and meet many of the great people on here in the coming years.
(only 21months to retirement and 22 months until a cross country trek from ocean to ocean)

That will be some trip. I enjoy driving from the north of England to the south of Spain but that is only 2000 miles. I recall from reading author Nicholas Monsarrat's account (Canada Coast to Coast) of his drive from Newfoundland to Vancouver, it was over 5000 miles.

It certainly will be. I have plenty of time to work out any mechanical issues before hand, and do a lot of research of sites to see along the route.
I hope I won't be needing any Jaguar mechanics along the way. LOL
