New Member that loves her X-type
Hi
I bought my X-type used three years ago. After driving 70K miles I still love it.
I have a few issues and was thinking about replacing it, but just cant really find anything that gives me the features, handling and just everything I love about "Baby Jag". To the point that my mechanic who is a "local joe" retired from a high end dealer - said oh just go buy another jag, you compare everything to your jag and nothing stacks up as well.
So now I am turning to others that have experienced joys and challenges that come with owning a Jag for knowledge and ideas.
idontcook but sure drive alot

Wow - thank you for all the warm welcomes -- And thank you for the link to the "ladies only".
There are a couple reasons that I am sticking with Baby Jag. I have doubts as to anything else handling as well in the adverse conditions baby has been thru -- ranch roads in Texas, snow, ice and hard packed roads in northern winters, rainy mountain roads with deer and bears in the Rockies. The AWD as well as ESP, and TC have made driving a pleasure even in very poor conditions. My daughter has panic attacks in bad conditions (rollover years ago) does not panic when I take her thru anything in the jag.
HOWEVER, I have serious envy when I see the XK going down the road --- I remember being on an interstate seeing a car in the rear view gaining on me - thinking I WANT THAT, it flew past, and I put my foot down to see for sure what past me as it became a I HAVE TO HAVE. Yep the XK.
Just not there yet.
