Hello All. My name is Troy, I am from the St. Louis area and really excited to be here. Recently purchased a 2014 F-Type X V8 Convertible with a Matte Black wrap (factory Ebony Black) with 17,800 miles. The car I think is pretty well optioned with Vision Pack, Extended Leather Pack, 20" wheels 5 spoke, 770W stereo upgrade & Performance Pack. Only thing I didn't get was an Owners Manual which he lost during a move a few years back.
I wasn't actively looking to buy a car but was helping a friend move his mother and he owned it. He let me drive it and I told him whenever he decided to sell I wanted a call and he said he was ready if I was serious. It has been in his family since 2016 so I figured if I was ever going to pull the trigger this was the right setup. I looked around online a little before we agreed upon a price but would be curious as to where more experienced owners think the current market value is on this. We are 20yr friends so he wanted to treat me right and I wanted to give him a fair price, and I think we found a good common ground.
After 25ys of work this my wife/I first "weekend" car, we are over the moon!
If you haven't done so already you should add your car details to your signature to help others to help you.

Hello, Troy,
Congratulations on your new F-type Jaguar!
As far as what you paid is concerned, if You're happy, and He's happy, then don't go looking for what others might think is a good price. You'll inevitably encounter the smarty pants who tells you, "If you paid more than $XXXXX you got took!" when they really have No idea the true value of the car. Any car is worth whatever YOU are willing to pay for it. No more!
Hi Troy, I got my own first Jag last year (08 XK) and am in St Louis as well. If you like talking mechanical things about the cars, or have any insights on service or other Jag things in the region (there's a local club, JAGSL on facebook), let me know.
I'm trying to learn DIY on everything that's possible and have some shop connections for other things, but I'm still on the first year of ownership so I'm still learning a lot.
