New XKR (X150) Owner
Hi All,
This is my first and obligatory intro post. I am a proud new owner of a new-to-me 2007 Jaguar XK-R convertible. I am new to Jaguar and have never really thought of owning one as I am(was) mainly a BMW/Porsche guy. I was in the market for a replacement to my aging Porsche 996 convertible and was looking hard at an E63/E64 M6 convertible and actually was ready to pull the trigger on one but started to get cold feet after reading up on all the hassle of owning an M6 like very poor mpg, SMG reliability, not a comfortable daily driver, and debatable looks/styling. I then looked at alternatives and somehow came across this one-owner XKR and kinda of fell in love with the looks.
Needless to say, I decided to go for the Jag so I flew down to Los Angeles and drove the car back to Seattle this past weekend. The car is definitely a grand tourer as it made my 1200 mile road trip comfortable and fun!
I will be hanging out in the XK/XKR and the local forums and hope to learn a lot from this community and also contribute back as much as I can.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
