Default Steel studs, Aluminum Head

Should I use a lub or anti seize when installing steel intake and exhaust manifold studs?

Welcome to the forum Rdeorsay,,

Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.

Your profile lists 'XJ6 4.2' with no model year. Is that a Series I, II or III?

I don't use anti seize on either side but I always fit new exhaust manifold studs and nuts
. Saves a lot of grief on subsequent dismantling.

Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
