x-type suspension thud
Hi everyone. Hope someone can help with an annoying thud i get from suspension when going over bumps in road over 40mph. Had numerous mechanics look at problem and they found nothing. I have an x-type jaguar, 2002, 2.5 V6 and only done 14,000 genuine miles. I thought maybe some rubber had perished as the car has stood for long periods of time but they all assure me all ok.I had to have 4 new tyres due to perishing.

Welcome to the forum eastwood,
Good to have you with us at Jaguar forums.
Those dreadful "shaker" plates used for MoT test in the UK are excellent for identifying worn suspension components.
Follow this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x-type-x400-14/ to the X-Type forum for help, advice and information. The 'HOW TO' thread at the top is a good place to start for information on regular issues.
Please remember to add vehicle details to your Signature to help others to give relevant advice. Go to the User CP button on the left of the top menu bar, then Settings & Options under Your Control Panel. Select Edit Signature and enter the details.
You can also visit the UK & Eire Region forum by following this link https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/uk-eire-68/ to find other members in your region.
Enjoy the forums.
