Default 2007 front defroster not working

Just bought this car:
2007 S-Type, 4.2 with Nav System.
Defroster was blowing air fine. Today (windshield was frosted) I cannot get air to blow on the windshield. All switches are functioning (lighting up) just nothing blowing on the windshield. Were should I start?
Thanks,
Brett

Could be DCCV as it;s the commonest failure.

If it's not blowing is the fan running? Do you get air out of any other vent?

I thought my defrosters were not working but I had no heat because of a heater core/AUX coolant pump problem.

All other functions and vents seem to be working fine. Heated up fine. Fan sounds like it is working good just nothing going on the windshield

Reading on - JaguarClimateControl.com my problem doesn't seem to be a "symptom" of the DCCV. All other vents were functioning. Just seems like the defrost vents weren't opening up

You are right. It's not a DCCV problem. Any chance it's something simple like the defrosters are blocked somehow?

I think you need a dealer to cycle all the doors in the system to see if they respond correctly. I don't think you can do this with a standard scanner like the ELM327. Sounds like a dealer will be required.

It's a rare problem so please post back when you find the problem.

Default windshield defrost problem

I have that same problem with my jag the defrost don't blow air on the windshield a mechanic advise to check the fuses #75#80and #99 under the driver side dash to desconnect the battery for 20 min to make a electrical reset,
but this was't the solution. for me

Sounds like the stepper motors aren't functioning so no air directed to windscreen vents.
