Unhappy aftermarket deck install now no a/c ????

hey guys i recently purchased a 2000 s-type 4.0 i decided to install a aftermarket double din dvd in the car instead of the factory that was there..the stereo has then been installed and works perfectly fine speakers and such, but after the install i no longer have a/c the climate control is set to low and it keeps coming warm. It worked perfectly fine before i took it out, just wondering if anyone can help or offer some advice, i've cleaned the inside temp sensor upbove the ignition, checked all the fuses and they were fine re-opend the center console to make sure i didn't forget to hook something up and i cant seem to find the problem, also tried taking the negative bat lead off and reset it some thing, just wondering if i can reset the temp settings or anything on the sensors or anything ? thanks in advance

sorry just some extra information, when placed in "auto" mode and manual low temp it does the same thing, when in auto mode the fans do come on high as it did before the air coming from the vents just isn't cold. just thinking i disconnected some wire or something when i put in the deck,

Examine everything that was disturbed when the other work was done.

well all i cut was the 12v acc and speaker wires ? there are several other wires but i dont think they connect to anything else on the center console or anywhere else :s if anyone has a diagram of the original stereo wiring or anything along those lines it would be of great help, thanks in advance

You can find the wiring diagrams in the how to sticky section.

I doubt that anyone will be able to provide a solution, you need to retrace your steps and find out what got disloged broken or whatever.

Get the wiring diagrams that you were pointed to... Many new cars employ pass through wiring... meaning that the connectors are interconnected and power is fed from one circuit to another... My guess is you will find that you cut power to something when you cut a wire that you thought only went to the radio...

This is why harness adapters are essential for installations in modern autos.. NEVER a good idea to cut anything unless you have a full wiring diagram in front of you when doing it and know exactly what you are doing...

Where is Jason when you need him......LOL

Remove the climate control console on the dashboard. Check the wiring harness for damage. Check the two climate console connectors for bent pins. Check the connectors thenselves and make sure that each terminal is full seated in the connector body and none has pushed out. When you replace the connectors, make sure they are fully seated and the connector 'clicks'.

hey guys thanks for the repies, the wiring diagram was sort of helpfull but i am not too sure as to how to read it to diagnose the problem. Here's what i've done so far..i tried installing back the factory stereo with all the harnesses i could locate, all connectors to the climate controle at the bottom were fully connected and still no a/c i put in all the wires minus the speaker wire harness and still no a/c everything esle works the fans/heat blower motor so i am thinking it's just the air conditioning controle module that's not getting power or something because i checked the fuses and they seem fine. from the diagram provided it seems as the power for the a/c module is connected to the mirrors or something ? if anyone could give me the location or color of wires or something where that's located i can have another go at it. thanks in advance
