I expect it will.
You need to get the codes checked and determine what is causing the light to show.

Yes, +1 you will more than likely not be able to pass inspection. As Norri suggested obtain an OBD2 scanner capable of accessing the ABS module - that is where your code(s) are stored.

Sadly, most ordinary OBD tools won't provide those codes

It's often a rear reluctor or sensor so you might try cleaning and hope.

Thanks guys just don't want spend 175$ just for the dealer to take a look at the car when it could be something as easy as a sensor.

I hear you - check out the thread "approved scanners" - I always hear that the ELM327 is a good option to retrieve codes.

I have had general luck with a Matco Determinator to gain access into the ABS sytem (through the Ford Domestic application) - however, I recently scored a deal on a Jaguar WDS analyzer - so no more trips to the dealership!

The elm327 is great but the software won't fetch ABS module codes.

Yeh, it sucks having to rely on the dealership for these common problems - wish the OBD2 cord was long enough to reach TX - I's hook you up!

Hey how much did the WDS run you?
That would be the ultimate for a shade tree mechanic!

Might be tough getting the latest software updates?

It was frozen years ago I think (but good for the things it covers). I'd like it & IDS/SDD if I were to work on the cars as the techs do (not something I do want to do!).
