Default NEED HELP

Is anyone familiar with this code P050B
it constantly keeps popping up on my 2007 Jaguar S-Type R.
what does cold start ignition timing performance mean? Any further explanation would be greatly appreciated.

It's a generic OBD code so web searches will find it but you can also have a look for
JAGUAR ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTICS V8 Engine Management

maybe add such as P050B and/or PDF

Hi
Just check the s-type drc and that code dont exist
you would be better finding some with Jaguar IDS/SDD to get accurate codes and to give you accurate causes
even buying a Icarsoft LR V3, which is the best out there for our cars, apart from Jaguar IDS/SDD, but icarsoft lr v3 will talk to most of the modules on the car
unlike cheaps ones which only talk to engine ecu and give generic useless codes
also if your in the AA get them out and get them plug in for free
cheers
Joe

You must be using an out of date list of codes.

I posted how to find info.

Are you seeing any symptoms with this code? Check engine light? Rough idle? Restricted performance message?

Or does this one simply show up any time you run a scan for codes?

If no other associated faults or indications, it might a case of your scanner not playing nicely with your car. In other words, it could be a nuisance message that doesn’t really mean anything.

What???? That is VERY VERY unlikely.

Please let's treat it as we would any other code - there for a reason (possibly more than one reason).

I would also recommend using the jaguar SDD software and dedicated interface to find this fault.
