I'm a few mins from ordering the regulator (Going with the stock ones on amazon for 79.00)

My question is, does the window regulators (LS and/or S Type) come with the window guides also?
or am I going to have to order the plastic guides separately?

Why don't you order the motor/regulator assembly from Rock Auto for only about $63.00 and as a forum member you get a 5% discount! Look at the vendor thread... Yes, the front door Lincoln LS motor/regulator assembly are interchangable with the S Type (Not the rear ones) and do come with the plastic guides - it's a complete unit - unbolt the old one and install the new one. (You might have to elongate one of the mounting holes...)

Nice write-up. Whenever we put in a LS (motorcraft) regulator, we just squeezed that one stud through the hole. Pretty much the same as you wrote. We did not notice a difference in failure rate for the replaced regulators, OE vs. Motorcraft, though. We saw the motorcraft ones fail over time. Hopefully by now, the plastic has been engineered to take the heat.

I have found if you want to have the thing last, it was mentioned on here somewhere and I do it all the time, when you close the doors, make sure you have the windows closed and not opened. I guess in Hawaii you would have them open a great deal you lucky stiff .
