Default Jaguar S"leigh" Type

You know fellas, Joyce and I have been hiding Santa's bounty in the boot of our S Type for 8 years now. Gotta love when the little snoopers are digging around the place and coming up empty.

Load up the boot, hit the valet button in the glovebox. Boom, Bob's yet Uncle!

Bonus points to the one that guesses what's in the old time Santa wrap, just right of center to the latch.

I'm guessing that package contains a fresh 5-pack of boxers for Rick to wear on his head as he mows the grass....

Default Valet Feature

My 2000 S has this feature but don't know if it was standard or option. I'll check my original sticker

Judging by my manual it appears to be a standard feature, i.e. says vehicle comes with 3 keys (2 black, 1 green) which mine did. Valet switch is located on upper left corner of glove box - hard to see unless you bend down. Section 2-8 in my owner manual

It's standard for some markets.

My car hasn't got it - but it does have the wiring (behind glovebox) which suggests it could be added easily.

Good guesses on all parties, especially Jon's!!

Joyce actually asked for one of these old time Seltzer makers. I did not even know they still made these thingies.

Oh, the Captain comes out tomorrow morning with the egg nog!

Just in case, read up on this thread to avoid a desperate cry for help late on Christmas Eve:

Thanks for looking out for us Karl. You should know by now one of my 3 keys actually manually unlocks the boot. I made sure long ago that the manual boot lock stays well lubed with graphite!

A bottle of 1875 Chateau Margaux at $225,000?

Wow Graham that's for you guys in your 2014 XK's. I can barely afford the cheap beers that I consume, Busch Lights. I am on a 12 year old SType budget.

Ha ha!

Merry Christmas all
