I concur....knock sensor code.....normally only caused by faulty sensor.....although....
I had an X with knock sensor codes.....test drove car and was fine. Customer picked it up and came right back...same scenario, no fault. 3rd time I went with customer....no problem...i asked if everything was normaly with him, and he said he normally had the radio on. He turned it on....I went nearly deaf from the 6 12s in the trunk. Needless to say, with that bumping, was causing the knock sensors to misread...lol

While driving yesterday got the "cruise not available" warning. Car drove fines except for twice during exceleration the engine would quickly try to cut out and in. Continued to run but the hesitation for a second or two was pronounced.

Cruise not available became intermitent, eventually went out. Later the check engine light was on. Now I have no warning ligths and the car is running fine.

Pulled the codes this morning at a parts store:

P1111
P0333

Concerned about the P0333 (knock sensor),CEL, and momentary performance issue...anyone seen anythinglike this before?

Sure would like to keep the car out the dealership, and dealer out my thinning pocket if at all possible.

Regards,
Thomas - Austin TX
I have the same problems,P0333,P1638,P1699,yesterday i found a leak at the IMT an i replace the two o-rings at the IMT,but today have the same problems with engine light and sometimes ** cruise not available**,i think the knock sensor must be replaced with a brand new.
Monday i-ll check the upper manifold o-rings and the conections for knock sensor, the manual said it might be possible to have a bad conection to sensor.
If someone have an ideea to solve this it is welcome
Tell me please when you solve the problems,

Two weeks ago i have P0333 and P1111 error on my jag,i change the IMT o-rings,and i sealed with red silicone the upper and under intake manifolds o-rings.When i do that i blow out the isolation wich are put under intake manifold and i relocate the knock sensor. The new location for the knock sensor are in the back of the manifold.i eliminate the conection from the knock sensor(just cut the wires and put wires directly together and isolate with tape, just to be sure there is no wires conection error). After all of this job i start the engine and NO ERRORS,my jag run like new.
