Default Motorola T605 Dealer Won't Install

I'm in a Catch 22 here. I almost bought a Motorola T605 yesterday at Circuit City. Their installer said he couldn't install it because it would shut radio down and he doesn't have the codes to activate it again.

I'm taking my 04 in Friday for the 30k checkup and the dealer says they can't install it because it's aftermarket.

What should I do here?

Thank!!

The T605 is blutooth capable. So, I'd get both blutooth and a ipod connection through my factory audio.

Ok...I call Jag and get my code? And then the installer at CC can put the T605 in?

&lt\\;P&gt\\;I went by CC on my way home...asked the installer if he would install the T605 if I got him the codes. He says he doesn’t have the tools to get inside to get to the codes. &lt\\;/P&gt\\;
&lt\\;P&gt\\;&amp\\;nbsp\\;&lt\\;/P&gt\\;
&lt\\;P&gt\\;So, he can’t do. My Jag dealer won’t do it. I’m really frustrated.&lt\\;/P&gt\\;

Yes I do. I stopped by the high end place today and asked about it. They have never seen one of these T605's and I think the code issuse would still be there. He referred me back to the dealer.

&nbsp\\;I want an ipod connection and blutooth...there are decks that do both. But it looks like that is not an option. The ACM price w/install is killing me, especially since I'm going to purchase an Extended Warranty. And....there is still no blutooth.

I didn't ask about blutooth. The price for the ACM was around $380 and the parts guy didn't know how long install would take.

well it sounded like the other shop wanted it least $1000... it sounds like the $300 is a hell of a deal.

Hey Jamey how stuck are you on the stock radio? If you don't have navigation try a pioneer cd player and get bluetooth and ipod capabilities. Cost would be the same as an acm and would make the stock speakers sound better than they do now.
This dash kit should match your kit quite well...

Thanks aquill. I keep cars a long time...12-14 on my last two, so I want some new technology!

I'm going to my dealer tomorrow and I may decide what to do on the way. I want to buy an Extended Warranty, and maybe I can get them to deal on the ACM.

The radio looks easy to out. Is it as easy as it looks?

Oh yeah it is really easy! There is a wiring harness for it that allows you to plug right into the factory wires and everything. If you didn't have navigation I'd go with one of these and forget the acm. But that is me. That kit I showed a pic of doesn't have that dash piece finished off, that bottom piece or top piece has a storage bin you attach to it. That pioneer head unit is also motorized which is pretty cool. Not to mention I'm pretty sure that pioneer gray/silver is about dead on to the stock gray/silver dashes...
