My Code Reader Say - "P1646 aux inputs, aux outputs". But when I look the Code up Online, it say's - "P1646 Jaguar - HO2 Sensor Control Malfunction Bank 1 Upstream". What Do I Do, What does this mean? Thanks

 

Hi Waverly, first off you are in the wrong section of the forum. The X-Type is the section is the X400. But we can still help. The code indicates a failure of the upstream HO2 sensor on the right bank of the engine. That sensor is just above the catalytic convertor on the exhaust manifold near the backside of the engine. It will need to be changed.

Just so you know, all P1 codes are make-specific but your tool apparently doesn't know (hard to believe!!) and so is misleading you.
