Default 2013 tail lights on 2010 XF

Ok. So I know this has been discussed but not finding.
I have a set of 2013 XF tail lights and plan to swap on my 2010 XF.
Not being a complete idiot, I realize the harness plug is the same but the pins are in different locations. The wires are all the same colors so I'm hoping someone here can tell me if simply relocating the pins to the correct location will work. Or am I going to have to have resistors due to the new led capacity loads??

You have to repin and use resisters. I have face lift lights as well. But have been lazy to do it. I will try and dig up the how to thread from the UK forum.

Here is a pic with mine in, they plug right in. Same as pre facelift. But have to be re pinned. The resisters are only for your dash indicators.
Stock is on the left, face lift on the right.

Already added the center boot lights. I wired them to the license plate wiring. Works perfectly but I unwired until I have entire assembly in.

Other thing, the lights in the older assemblies are led as well so shouldn't they have correct resistors? I noticed the same replacement bulbs and such in the new as in the old so........

They have to be re pinned. You just get a small set of needle nose and rearrange the pins in the socket. If you don't mind the blinker indicators flashing on the dash fast, then you don't have to use the resistors. The blinkers on the outside of the car will blink like normal, it's just the ones in the car that will blink super fast.
