Default Lock OUT of my car w/ my keys

2010 Jaguar XFR Supercharged

My car is locking me out.
It will not read my key, while it in my hand. When I push the button to unlock the door it will not unlock or lock, none of the buttons work when it's doing this. Eventually, I am able to get the door unlocked. Then when I get in to start the car, it says "no smart key found." When I unhook the car battery and plug it back up I am able to open the door and start the car.

Does anyone know why what this could be?
I have gone to different shops, and they say, it's my key. But if I buy another key and it continues to keep happening, I would have spent over seven hundred dollars for a key for nothing.

Ps. NEW BATTERY IN THE FOB.

HELP!!!!

Has anyone thought to replace the battery in the smart-key fob?

That was the first thing I did. I wouldn't be asking for assistance if I hadn't tried the basics.

Could be an issue with the KVM module. If you have the SDD software you can try to run the Security-Immobilization program. This will re-program several modules and may fix the issue.

Does your spare key work as it should?

Might also help if you post the model year of your XF

Take a look at this thread.
It might offer some insight. There's some info there on how I made two spare keys/fobs for much less than the dealer wanted.

pull apart the FOB to inspect for loose connectors and that the battery is seated right. well out of case try to open car ect. if no good do the car battery thing if that works like it has been you need to find where that proximity sensor is can check that.
