Default Vehicle Warning - see message centre

Hi ya, sorry to post about this, I’m sure you’ve read enough about this before. I’m new and pretty clueless to this message that’s been appearing on my screen for the past week on and off. The dash lights have dimmed and as soon as I turn the headlights off the dash lights come back to the normal brightness.

I’ve checked the manual but the symbol isn’t in there.

It’s a 2013 Sportbrake.

Any help/advice appreciated as I don’t know how serious this is?

I took a pic, below.... cheers all 😁

That's a screen to get your attention. The message is in your dash between the gauges. Once you read it you need to fix it. On mine the tach disappears and the fault message takes it's place.

See how it shows the gauges with red between them, I'm guessing the red is where the message is. Hopefully it's not a bad one.

That's my take on it. Good luck.

Welcome to the forum LeeLee,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help to X250 forum. This is the place to post technical questions about your model.

As advised above, look in the MESSAGE CENTRE (arrowed in red) for further information on the fault:

Vehicle Warning - see message centre-message.jpg

Post the message back here for advice.

When you get a minute, please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some information about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Graham

Hi both, thanks for your replies.

I certainly will check this out today and fingers crossed it ain’t gonna be a big expense. The car has been a dream since I bought it in August last year.

Thanks Graham, I’ve left an intro LL

Hi Lee Lee, Did you ever get to the bottom of this symbol? Just that I collected my new vehicle yesterday and it is displaying exactly the same sign?
Thanks
John

Hi John, sorry to hear you’ve been having this issue!

And again sorry, because I don’t have any news I’m afraid. Mine appears to be working ok now and I did nothing and changed nothing.

I hope you get some answers, good luck as would be interesting to see what causes it and how to sort it.

Message center is the little square space on the dashboard between the speedo and rev counter. So the message on the touch screen is telling you to see what it says on the dash behind the steering wheel. Post up what it says.

Congrats on the new car!
