I have 2 good used air springs fronts for $250 each shipped in north america. Rebox your old ones and go on arnotts website and theyll send shipping labels and buy your old ones for $100pr. Net cost to you $400
past that i just did another conversion to standard shocks from arnot and imo arnots conversion kit has a better ride than others ive ridden in.

If you can describe the specific issues you are having with the air suspension, there may very well be less expensive options for repairing the system (and there is a lot of information already here if you use the search window at the top of the page).

On nights when the temp falls > 30F the air goes out and the car (more driver than pass) front drops. After start the error says "vehicle too low". In about 1 mile to 4 miles depending on weather, the compressor pumps them back up and if warm night they stay. No problem anticipated before October but I don't want to wait it I can help it. Error message always says "Air Support system fault".

 

It could be as simple as the air compressor piston seal is worn out, meaning the compressor cannot charge the reservoir in the time allowed, (3 minutes). Get the fault codes read, and if it is C2303, then this is the most likely cause. Either buy a seal kit and do-it-yourself, or fit a new compressor.

Dittos on having the codes read to help you know what is going on.

Our '04 had the same symptoms. We have a leak at the front right shock which seems to only happen in cold weather. I suspect the O-ring around the electrical pressure sensor needs to be replaced, since that's where I can feel air escaping. See the recent thread in the X350 forum with the words "Viton O-rings" in the title for some information about this including some of the O-ring sizes (I'm not sure anyone has measured all of them yet but we'll get there).

And, your air compressor almost certainly needs a new piston ring. The ring is made of soft Teflon (PTFE) and the piston rod is integral to the piston (no wrist pin or gudgeon pin), so as the piston "wobbles" in the cylinder, the leading and trailing edges wear prematurely. Replacing the piston ring or seal is easy and inexpensive. Buy a kit from one of our forum members who machines the new seals himself (bagpipingandy.com). Below are links to photos showing the replacement process on our compressor (note: you don't have to replace the desiccant in the air dryer as I did, but it is a good idea if you're willing to go to the trouble).
