My new to me 04 xjr has a performance intake and a sticker from the dealer that installed it. Is this an oem part or just an authorized part that the dealer installed ?
The Caldoofy looks great and may improve performance. Wanted one a few years ago.
The biggest help for mine was new O2 sensors. More than plugs.
Want to clean the inter coolers next.
The intake looks great and may improve performance. Why did one for my ex JR a few years ago.
O2 sensors have made the biggest improvement in my car. More than plugs.
Want to clean the intercooler’s next.

+1 on the intercoolers. When I cleaned mine a few years back, I picked up 14 rwhp. And all 3 dyno pulls were exactly the same rwhp.
The consistency showed that the intercooler system was doing its job, compared to the previous dyno session (before cleaning intercoolers) when each pull made less power due to heat soak.
Hard to judge, I am numb to it by now and can get it done fairly quickly. Also, over time I have invested in tools to specifically facilitate removing the supercharger (most time consuming part of this job). You can have them off in 3 or 4 hours maybe less depending on how motivated you are (considering you don't break anything or strip or round any bolts).
I had an extra set of intercoolers that I spent a month or so cleaning and flushing so that when I took mine off, I just swapped those in. The cleaning can take a while if you want to leave them looking brand new. If you plan on doing this job, I suggest to plan and prep a few things. Make sure you have new gaskets, go ahead and get some new knock sensors if they haven't ever been replaced. Look up the brake booster elbow mod and get what you need to do that. I also went ahead and replaced injectors while I was in there, but that's just me.
I waited for a long weekend to do it so I could take my time and make my trips to ACE as needed. Also cleaned other components and painted them to look nice while everything was off. I try to maximize any downtime on the Jag; hit multiple birds with one stone. That's why I say its hard for me to judge just that job specifically. Maybe some of the other experienced members could tell you though.
