Default It was as good run

After about 20 years of various Jaguar cars owned, the last one being a 2006 XJ8L, I've decided to go another direction. I traded my XJ8L for a 2015 Cadillac ATS. The ATS has about 25K miles as opposed to the 188K miles I had on my XJ8L. What I have noticed is the ATS really resembles the S-Type I had. Both cars had a really sharp steering and handling which made them both a back road burners. Best wishes to all of of your present and future Jaguar owners. Someday we may meet again.

Just out of curiosity, what was the final straw?

Was your decision based on the "Millennial-Generation" types taking over the dealerships that used to care about servicing loyal customers as much or more then pushing new cars at clueless customers with "time-bomb" leases?
Now when you go into a typical new car dealer, except for a few older family run businesses, it seems like they are managed by a "team" that more resembles the cast from the Haribo Gold Gummy Bears commercials then a serious group of seasoned managers with some real-world hands-on experience "under their belts".

The Jag had 188K miles on it and fixing it to pass safety inspection would have been cost prohibitive.

"a 2006 XJ8L ... a 2015 Cadillac ATS. The ATS has about 25K miles as opposed to the 188K miles I had on my XJ8L."

There's an unfair comparison here. A 2015 XJ with 25k might be fairer. Just sayin'

Well, there is the small matter of about $20K or more difference in price.

Enjoy the ATS. My daughter has one and I'm impressed with it. All wheel drive is a plus here in the North.
