Yes my car came without screen and I got the harness, navigation control module and screen.
After I installed them, they works fine but not the climate control. I can not control my climate. I think it’s just happened like you before.
so if I replaced the climate control module that is under the dashboard into a ccm that was from a xj8 that equips Nav, will it work?

In the end , I didn't need to replace my CCM. I just used my SDD to tell the car it had navigation. After which everything worked fine. You should be able to do the same. Do you have SDD or IDS available?

That won't work, because you will still have to program it to work with your car. It's VIN specific and your VID block has to recognize it.

You can use SDD to program any module in the car, I made a thread a while ago about my climate control system bugging up and acting like it was a system from an X-type. I chose MANUAL reconfigure of either the amplifier or some other module (i forget). Selecting Manual allows you to select vehicle specific features which then writes into the ECM's VID memory.

I went the dealer today, they told they can not do that for me.
So i have to get the SDD system from ebay. But how that works? I mean all I need is the software, latop and OBD2 cable that connect the latop to my car?

There are numerous threads about this topic and what you need. But all in all your basic understanding is correct.
You need an XP based laptop (or one that runs XP on virtual machine) you need a compatible OBD2 cable (Mongoose or equivalent) and the SDD software.

As long as you know your way around a computers its rather straight forward. The software itself is dimwitted and slow; and will freeze up occasionally.

If you are doing any ECM/TCM reflashes, its usually recommended you source a HIGH QUALITY power supply such as ones used with RF radios, as they produce stable voltage with little noise

Have a look at the above to begin with.

I suggest you do NOT try any reprogramming until you have done a lot of research and then only with an approved battery support product as already mentioned.

The problem solved. I used SDD to add climate module and secleted the Manual then just set NAV "fitted".
Now works perfect.
Thank you guys.

From your other thread I see that you want to install an aftermarket unit.

That being so you have to follow the directions that come with the after market unit.

I must admit I do not understand your objective?

Since I started with a non-navi system, all I had to do was install additional wiring and program. Like jackra_1 stated, you should follow the aftermarket instructions, since you won't be using the fiber optics.

Are you talking about the above type of installation?

Ok now I understand.

You need the wiring diagram for that type of head unit and I am not sure what model that is.

For starters have a look at this: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...others-101568/

Спасибо вам, ребята.
Friends, I put a monitor instead of a "calculator". I laid an additional wiring harness to connect the navigation unit. I pulled the optics connector out of the changer and inserted it into the navigation unit. The changer does not work because there is not enough optical connector. But it doesn't matter, because I have a Bluetooth module instead of a CD. That is, my monitor is working now, but I can't adjust the climate, it doesn't respond to the buttons. Sound, radio, navigation are working. The question is, in which section of the SDD should the navigation unit be registered in order for the climate control to work?
