Default Sirius install in 2004 xjr

I want to add a Sirius radio to my XJR. Does anyone know where I can get the black plate that replaces the factory Ashtray?

I took the cup holder out. And put my sirius in there. As a long time Jag owner not having cup holder not big deal. But, it works great you can hide it when not using.
Also have 04 XJR.
Good Luck.

Hi,
First of all the sirius magnet will not work on the out side of your car.
It is aluminum.
I put my antana on the rear deck in the middle using a small piece of velcro. Put it on the vents near the glass.
works great!!
Hope this helps.

Remove the lower rear seat cushion...there's release mechanism at each corner...you'll need to feel around under there to find them. Once released, the cushion is easily removable and easy to re-install.

Such removal is just about mandatory to fish antenna wires from trunk area...under carpet to front passenger foot well area.

My antenna is locate on the dash at the base of the windshield and in front of the GPS antenna. Pretty much invisible and reception is fine. Sirius controller is mounted where the ash tray was. Ash tray door still closes to hide unit. This particular controller also has an aux. input for ipod. Really good solution to a vexing problem.

Jake1,

Yep, that's how I installed my XM unit, too, except I velcro'd the antennae to the lower center edge of the rear window...then ran wire through trunk/under carpet/behind kick panel/into ash tray opening.
