Default X350 Valet unlocking

I have accidently pressed the valet button. I have read the manual and posts here to unlock but still cannot open the boot or glove box. It happened once before to me but I cannot remember how I unlocked ti.

You tried the main key to manually unlock the boot? That is supposed to cancel the valet mode lockdown.

valet locks trunk and glove box.
So if you can open the trunk, valet is not active.
Valet should disappear when pressing the fob-buttons on the main keys.

Hi Bob,
Is there any chance that the key you are using is a Valet key? I think the valet key (I don't have one) is missing the pointed tip.
The mechanical boot lock is often sticky through lack of use. Try some WD-40 or similar in the keyhole, then try to exercise the key through full range of movement.
Also, try pushing down on the boot lid as you turn the key.
I agree with the other posters, using the fob to lock and unlock the doors should cancel valet mode.

I have eventually fixed my problem. I pulled apart my key fob to check the battery and replaced it with a new one. Now I inserted the key into the boot lock and pressed the button on the boot at the same time and it unlocked.
