Default How to Replace Oil Pressure Sensor?

I have an XJS, but since it has the AJ16 engine, I thought I might post here.

How in the world can I get a wrench on to a leaky Oil Pressure Sensor? This isn't the sender, its the sensor.

The new one I have (by URO) gets an 11mm wrench to tighten it, but it is so cramped in there, and I have to maneuver behind the sensor itself to reach it.

How has anyone here done it?!?

It looks just like that!

When I bought the Blue Point wrench from the Snap-On man he followed me into the shop where I started heating/bending/welding the wrench to fit the application.

He 'freaked-out' and started yelling that he would not warranty the tool if it broke.

I looked at him like he was crazy, like I was expecting a warranty?????

When you work on Jaguars and other old British cars you just have to make your own 'special-tools'.

I love Motorcarmans's tool also, but if you don't have the heating/welding etc facilities you can get a similar result from a Crows Foot Spanner and Ratchet/Extension.

I have a set of metric 10mm-19mm crowsfeet ordered and on their way... Oddly enough, I had to purchase the 11mm separately. (The only one not included, isn't that always the way it goes?)

Depending on the diameter of the sensor and the distance of the open end slot-to-square drive, some 'crow-foot' wrenches won't work.

That was the case for me so I fabbed the 'special-tool'
