Default Low Oil Pressure Warning

I owned my 96xjr for almost a year now, i been fixing small problems here and there. lately my oil pressure gauge is constantly dropping to zero causing low oil pressure light to come on, it then bounces back to normal after few second. Oil is brand new, 10w30, up to level . Its becoming more constant lately comparing to before, No nasty grind or anything so i suspect it is the oil pressure itself is good but the sensor might be defective?, and according to some research there is this "fix kit" to do the gauge and stuff.
Now my question is... can i get away with replacing the sensor thats adjascent to the oil filter?

Several members have replaced the sender and the problem went away.

Yup, more than likely it is the oil pressure sender that's going bad. Cleaning it sometimes helps for a bit but for sure way is to just replace it. You will lose a bit of oil when you remove the defective one so be prepared to catch it with a pan.

It is a 21mm socket and if you have a deep one that would be better. I did it with a short socket with the ratchet not pushed all the way in. Also, it took me longer to jack it up than to put it in. You can put it in by hand almost all the way since its pre-lubricated. and just tighten it down on the copper crush washer.

Part# LNA5642CA and it says Made to Jaguar specification in Italy

I copied that from the thread when I replaced mine. I got it from Jaguar and it cost $28.00. If you are quick you will only lose a few drops of oil;-)
