I have been headache and confused on throttle body part unumbers for my 2000 Jaguar VDP, I hear from someone the OEM part number is C2A1444, but I found the number XW93-9E926-AE mark on the body case, anyway, I checked on e-bay and found the two items also, when I checked on compatibility, they show "This part is not compatible with 2000 Jaguar Vanden Plas Base Sedan 4-Door 4.0L 3996CC 244Cu. In. V8 GAS DOHC Naturally Aspirated."

now C2A1445 - Vin Range F00035 to F59525 (AJ27) with supercharger $1720 new.

The model number (XW93-9E926-AE) on the throttle body (A27 engine -1999 thru 2003 XJ8 & VDP models).

ASE has a Ebay listing for rebuild service for your throttle body:

I had our 2001 XJ8 throttle body rebuilt by their rebuild service in August 2012 (lifetime warranty) thru their Ebay listing.

If the throttle assy has the Black Vacuum actuator (AJ26) then it is NOT the correct one!!!

All AJ27 throttles will work regardless of the superceded part numbers.

What mean is "GAS DOHC Naturally Aspirated", all AJ27 engine is GAS DOHC Naturally Aspirated?

 

Too much details are pushing you to a confusion. There are TB with black plastic capsule and without; yours is without. Then, on the late engine types, you have different TB if your's is supercharged or not. The number on the barrel of your TB is most important, you have AE, but also the AD will work on your (and mine ) engine. You should check for TB's corresponding with your number if you want to buy a second hand, unless you want to buy a new part. I had a chat with a guy from ASI and he explained me that both AD or AE will be the same. The best offer you can find is sending your body and have it rebuilt for 325 $ (the ebay link from Jim). On ebay UK there are new TB's at a good price, but only black capsule ones.
DOHC is double over head camshaft, practically all XJ8 and XJR engines.

Naturally Aspirated means without supercharger - Jaguar classic webpage shows parts listing 2 options as - [supercharged] versus [except supercharged (naturally aspirated - non supercharged)].
