Yeah, I've asked paintless dent removal guys if they could do the work on my Mercedes ML, they almost always say that the dent is in a place where the steel is too thick for them to be able to straighten it. Most paintless dent removal guys will do a job like that for under 50-60 bucks anyway. Show it to a local guy to see if he would tackle the job. Then you could be relatively confident that the 14 dollar guy can do it.
That Harbor Freight stuff is for soft dents (slight inclusions), rarely, if ever, does it work on sharp dents (small hail, car doors). Plus you'll probably have to take it to the dent guys anyways to complete it to a smooth finish. I took mine to a local dealer to use their dent guys (outsourced at that shop). They do it all day long there and haven't complained about not being able to get my PO's stuff punched out.
If you were anywhere near Fort Worth, I regularly use Express Dent on White Settlement Road, just down the street from the Jaguar Dealer. The shop owner has owned three X308s himself and they know these cars inside and out.
