Default Faults C1145 & P0121

Hi

I eventually purchased a scanner 930i for my Jaguar Sovereign 1998 (Prins LPG Conversion). The two fault codes that come up are:-

1 - C1145 - I believe is the R/H Sensor.

2 - P0121 - I believe this could be the Throttle body needs replacing.

Can you please advise me the best way forward. Please bear in mind that my car has a PRINS LPG System fitted.

Also the Engine Fail Safe Mode/ABS warning light come on when I put the accelerator to the floor and it kicks into engine safe mode. (ABS lights, Traction/Stability warning)

Have been advised that I should check the cable from the sensor before replacing for C1145.

I appreciate P0121 is the throttle body but do I need to replace it or are there checks I can do first.

Thanks

Joseph

Will check the short link first and replace if need be.

Do you recommend to replace the throttle sensor or are there other checks I can carry out first.

Please re[ply on the new link if possible.

Once again many thanks.

Have you not read Service Action S514 Operation Of Throttle While In Closed Position?

I suffered through years of dealing with throttle assys. Most should be sorted out by now.

If your throttle body has already been replaced (under recall) with the updated one, see Technical Bulletin 303-58 that refers to P0121 (attached) as the problem could be in the connector only. If you still have the early throttle body, than it has to be replaced as per the Service Action posted above or the Service Action S498am attached here.

If you need to replace the TB connector pins with gold ones or need to also replace the connectors, you can get them from Ebay UK sellers as shown in the attachment. The "Brands Hatch" connectors are very good but they come with tin plated connectors thus you would need to buy the gold connectors from the other Ebay seller. The 5-pin TB connector shown is also good for the MAF sensor.

If you read the sensors at the ABS module you might find 1 of the 4 simple resistance out of range from the others . To see the sensor work put the meter on A/C voltage and spin the tire by hand and look for about 1 volt .
