Default Frame Plugs - Polished?

Did some looking and couldn't find anything on this. My car has polished caps over the frame plugs for the jacking points, see images below. I've never seen this on an XJ, are they aftermarket? Or did they come when factory chrome wheels were ordered? Just curious if they are original or not. If so I'll leave them, if not off they go. I like them about as much as I like the chrome wheels (not at all), but if they were born with the car I'll leave them for now.

Me neither, thanks for the quick response. You've seen a lot more of these than I have. Odd, I highly doubt the previous owner did this after meeting him but guess he must have at some point. There is a small screw in them which I assume just goes through the rubber. Guess I'll need to source some new rubber plugs without holes...

You should put some blinking led lights in it instead. 😂😂

Haha...not really my style

I did some searching and was not able to find a part number or even proper name for these. Anyone know?

Those frame bars are one of my Jaguar's least liked things. Drawing attention to them is not something
I would even consider. Now if we had a plug that made them invisible....that I would consider!

Agreed - I love them for easy jacking but they are quite an eye-sore. No idea why someone would draw attention to them...

Thank you guys, much appreciated. @Col. Sandurz I'm going to remove the polished caps and see what they look like. If the original plugs were damaged/have holes I'll be in touch.

Maybe I will design some plugs that slant up toward the body and color code them
so the jack points would be less noticeable.
