Default Fuel pump brand recommendations

Title pretty much says it all. I have tank out for bad fuel level sender and going to replace both pumps proactively. Car sat for five years before I bought. Numerous available brands. From experience any to go with and any to stay away from.

Delphi & Denso ...the rest are all Chinese. Not that these aren't, but they have QA supervision.

Until....it fails too soon and you replace it again. However...to be truthful, I have
found that sometimes....the cheap parts last just as long.

The URO pump is a DIRECT PLUG-IN, no harness modification.
I have had several URO pumps in a few of my six running X308/X100 cars for some as long as 10 years now.

Like the brand or not, they are the ONLY ones making SOME replacement parts and sometimes you have to get them or find used!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Jaguar is NLA on hundreds/thousands of parts)

The pumps are available from other manufacturers but I have personally not had an issue with the URO pumps.

Some parts are questionable but the pumps do not seem to be one of them, at least in the past when I purchased them.

Went with Delphi off RockAuto for $74 each. The Denso is not a lot more at RockAuto, Parts Geek, and Summit but noted as compatible for only 98 and 99. Confusing because all three suppliers list the Delphi for 98-03.

that pump doesn’t have a barb, it’s gonna blow off on you been there done that. the only barbless fuel pumps you can use are ones with plastic nipples

I kinda hijack the topic. But can anyone measure the diameter of the pump ? I'm planning to use only one aftermarket pump to take care of both of the oe pumps.

Nevermind. Rockauto listed them.

Big thanks for catching that. Don’t want to have to drop tank again. Looked at pics of pumps on RockAuto. Only URO has barb. Either sending pumps back or going to use some gasoline resistant glue in addition to clamp.
