Default Who does a good ECU tune for performance? 2002 XJR 4.0

I'm looking around to find a good performance tune.

Anyone done this and had good results? If so, where?

I may have a line on a decent tuner locally, but I want to see what is available anywhere also.

Thanks in advance!

Didn't your good buddy XJR-0220 have a super duper "killer tune" in the works?

Just messing with you, lol.

I think he did have the best tune in the galaxy, but his "friend" took it with him back to planet Xebu, and is not scheduled to return to earth for 1000 years. I think my heads went there too.

He talked a good game, just not so strong on delivering...

I think Eurotek does it the cheapest and best. Around $500.

Ask around the Japanese tuners with an in-house dyno, the ECU is a Denso, also used in Nissans & other Jap cars. That would be my approach. No dyno, no tune.

Has anyone here had a tune from them?

My strong preference is to get a tune at a place with a tuner and a dyno, but I still would like all the available information to keep my options open, however few they may be.

It is surprisingly difficult to find someone locally to tune the 4.0.

That's why I said push the Denso angle, most tuners will run a mile when you say Jaguar...

Eurotek has experience with it and they made me go to a shop with a dyno to be able to properly do it. I'd call them and see whats up at least.

I called them, they were busy in the shop and asked me to email them, which I did with all my mods/info. They are to call me back before the end of the day they said.

I can't really consider a tune that is not done on the dyno, with a real tuner present to maximize for my car with it's existing set up.

And yes, when I say "jaguar" the tuners tend to go all fetal and run for the hills!

What equipment are these tuners using to access the ecm, and how are they finding the maps?
