fuel pump relay
i have a 94 xj12 6.0L and i want to know where the fuel pump relay is what color and and about how big it is unless some one has a picture of one thank for the help
I think you are in the wrong forum, this is for xj40 (xj6). but if it helps the relay on 93 94 xj40 is located in the right side trunk behind the carpet on the wall nearest the rear lights.
Cheers,
my car doesn't like to start very easy after it warms up it just spudders than and dies after a few times it will kick on and runs fine i switch a/c relay with the fuel pump1 relay do you think maybe both relays are going bad? cause it still dose the same thing after the first start when its warm
Are they the blue hella relays? Did the A/C work before you took the relay out? The blue hella's are prone to damage and Jag came out with a sealed relay that works much better. You can "short" the relay by using a wire to see if it's the relay or not.

To fire up the controlled item, jumper the terminals that form a "T", but not with the one in the middle if there is one there, the two outside terminals.

Try changing the 02 sensor heat relay third one from the left on your firewall and also check gas cap to see if it's sealing off the fuel. I just finished doing both and she starts right up !! just move your ac clutch relay over to heat sensor see if that works before you buy a new one
yup, it was the o2 heater sensor relay like you said , now it starts every time first try ,
thanks for the help
one thing I've learned form working on this car, is even if it seems like a really big problem that's gonna cost a lot of money , do a lot of research first i saved so much money cause the problems where smaller than i thought at first , like a relay, and not a fuel pump or when i had a burn't coil and all signed lend me to think i had burn't valves but it was only a coil .
research can save money and time if or going back to fix the same problem more than once
thanks for the help

I've been under the weather a few days, haven't been payin' attention. If I were you, I'd replace ALL those relays at the firewall. They cause more problems than you can shake a stick at. Be safe, junk 'em all.
Cheers,
This is correct... The 93/94 XJ12 is an XJ40 body with the V12 called the XJ81, but usually refered to just as XJ40. It was limited production (to my understanding around 1600 built) so engine/trans specific info on them is more dificult to find, but body info & parts are the same as the XJ6.
