Thumbs up XJ40/XJ81 wheel photos

It has been mentioned in another thread that the XJ40/XJ81 looks best when paired with the "right" wheels.

So let's see some examples of what you think are the best looking wheel combinations on the XJ40/XJ81.

Here's my XJ12(XJ81) and I like the OEM wheels.

There is no ugly wheel design on these cars or any other Jaguar. If I had to pick a favorite it would be these. They look like the DB7 wheels save for not being recessed.

I like the 95-96 wheels. My white one had them when I got it, and I was able to get a second set for the Moneyfunnel with good tires from some guy parting a 96. It had the Kiwi wheels which I still have. I dont care for wire wheels on them. It just "aint right" somehow. My Opinion, of course.

The X300 dimple rims certainly work well on an XJ40.

No question about it, best wheels are the engine turned aero alloys fitted to the late VDP's and early X300 VDPs

Ah gotcha, looks much like the "lattice" wheels that were on the XJS, and perhaps are the same?

I felt the original Roulette wheels on our '93 VDP lacked some sportiness, so like Jerry I replaced them with X300 Dimples:

I once saw a photo of a XJ40 with X308 7-spoke Lunar wheels and it looked really fine. Here's an X308 with Lunars:

Cheers,

Don
