Default Jaguar Xj6 series 3 rear end mounts

Can you replace the 4 rear subframe bushings without removing the rear end from under the car? In other words, do one side at the time? I don’t have a car lift anymore and will have to do it with floor jacks.

Yes you can. I did mine on the floor, one side at a time. I did the 2 smaller bushings first then I did the large round one on the (trailing arm?) I had to use a ratcheting strap to line up the bolt hole on the large round bushing as it tended to move rearward when you remove the center bolt.
Not a very difficult job for the 4 smaller bushes. Place the car on jack stands. Use a hydraulic jack to support the subframe. Unbolt the bushings from the body or the subframe (whichever one works for you) Lower the jack slowly. R&R bushing.
The large round bushing his a little more tedious as the bushing has to be driven out of the arm and the new one driven back in.

Tackled the job Saturday. It was straight forward and only had trouble on the last two bolts, go figure.

Sanchez - I'm confused (which can easily happen). The rear subframe bushings, as pictured in 1983Turbojaguarxj6's pics above, are all the same part number in the parts manual - CAC3067. In your writeup above you refer to 2 smaller bushings then larger bushings in the trail arm. What am I missing?

You driven it yet? Curious as to whether you notice more road noise (as I did after a rear end rebuild and suspect the harder bushings).

It drives great. I didn’t change them for road comfort, I changed them because of rear end flex. It helped and suspension is more responsive. They were 35 years old, it was time. My expectations might be different then yours since I have a turbocharged small block under the hood.

@ yatchmanbuttson: You did not miss out on anything. When I said 2 small bushings, I was referring to the 2 sub frame bushings per side and the large circular bushing on the trailing arm. Sorry about the confusion.
On another note: I tried to attach a pic of my tire in my PM so you could see how they look on the car but it did not allow me to do so.
