Default Series 1, 2, & 3 Seats fit

Hello
please can I fit/replace series 3 rear seats into series 1 (1971 Jaguar XJ6) rear seat area?
waiting for help

I belive Bob Wilkinson from the JL forum, reported that the bottom S3 cushion hit the door pocket. I'm not sure if a fix was needed.

the Series 3 rear bottom cushion hits the door pocket even in the Series 3, I know.

I have S3 rear door pockets in my S1 and they hit the S1 seat cushion so it sounds like it will fit.

Right. Good memory Rob. But specifically S3 or Xj40 VDP seat bottoms hit the S1 door pocket big time. They are wider than the standard S1-S3 seat cushions, extending over the door sills. The fix is to fit the VDP door panels, whose handle and pocket clear the seat. These seats are quite deep, too, so that the already scanty leg room of the S1 is further diminished. For adults to use them the front seats must be pulled forward.
