Default So, you want to know what I think of Jag owners?

First let me give some background. I belong to several other forums. Mainly for Nissan/Datsun Z cars. On sites that are mainly about the Z31 (1st gen 300zx) I have heard a lot of comments about "butchering" a perfectly good Z. On sites that are for modifying other Z cars it is usually "Why are you using a 300ZX? They're no where as neat as the earlier models."
Now concerning the "uppity" Jaguar owners. I have never had such good and fast answers to my questions, or less derision about my choice of vehicles. Basically what I'm saying is thank you all so much for all the help, and lack of attitude about what I am working on. I think this is possibly the best place I've been. I want to thank all of you for your reception.

THANK YOU.

Jag owners MUST have a sense of humour, some more warped than others.

Apparently mine is from another world, REALLY??.

I too have visited other make forums for owners of some of the mixed make fleets I tend for a few collectors, and I really feel the PAIN.

Ok, so being a member of a least a dozen or so other forums including Jaguar, Renault, Ford, Vauxhall and Audi

I can report as follows ( bearing in mind I'm probably a little biased, but trying hard to be fair )

I've never came across any other forum quite as friendly and helpful, anywhere, period!

Some are good at one thing or another, but fall down in certain areas.

I'm sure we are not the biggest, or the best in certain areas either, but doing ok and moving forward

Thanks to the great mods, regional coordinators and last but not least, the fantastic member base

Meant to say "either in a lead or support role".

I concur.

Other forums are wildy different. Try the Aston Martin forum. It's a real hoot

New Post 1 : So, I got this fitted at the main dealer today

New Post 2 : Question about main dealer in Texas

New Post 3 : I just picked this up from the main dealer.

In other words, no one (at least who posts on the forums anyway) actually does anything to their cars themselves. I made several posts about the audio upgrades and rear light swap I did, and if I got a reply it was "I got the main dealer to fit mine"

The other thing about Jaguar people is they are actually nice in person. We have had a group going here in the Bay Area for 3 years now (Bay Area Jaguars, or BAJrs for short) and you could not meet a nicer set of people.

Happy Thanksgiving !
