I've got no shop manuals or anything and there's very little information online. I've got a no start condition I think is related to the camshaft position sensor, except I'm not even sure this car has one. When I google it I get a geared sensor and a hall effect sensor. This geared sensor appears to be for the 1995-1996 AJ16, although a couple websites list it for the 1990-1997 XJS


Since my 1993 has a distributor this doesn't make sense to me. I can't find any videos or shop manuals for the 1993 XJS so I'm not sure where to begin. The car has a parasitic draw that drains the battery within a day so I installed a battery disconnect. I'm pretty sure that's why it runs fine once I get it started but can be almost impossible to start after sitting. I have to give it a shot of laughing gas in the intake to bypass the cold start sequence. There's very little information online so I'm hoping someone here can get me oriented in the right direction.

 

All AJ6 info is in a document called S91_AJ6 4.0 Engine Management.pdf
It is a large file (about 14mb) and is on Gus's site I believe?

Do a search and I am sure it is available.
