Default Repair manuals

I'm looking for a repair manual that also contains wiring diagrams for my '95 XJS. Seeing lots of various volumes of what appear to be factory manuals on flea bay but their descriptions aren't sufficient to tell me what they contain.

Can anyone give me a brief overview of the factory manual, how it's laid out and what each volume contains? Trying to determine if I need all (how many is "all"?) volumes. I'm not interested in the generic Haynes or Chilton type book, rather something that provides detailed info. What do the specialists use when working on an XJS?

Though I prefer paper to software, is there also complete digital info available?

Hi, I recommend jagdocs.com for digital manuals of all kinds.

Bought a 1300 page workshop manual for my 3.6 and very impressed:

http://www.jagdocs.com/index.php?mai...&cPath=136_141

Pretty much instant download once you pay your money. I just print off what pages I need and scribble on them.

Cheers,

Hi Lee,

the download page for this 'XJS 3.6L Workshop Manual ('83-'91)' has a confusing comment 'The engines covered are: 4.0L AJ6'.

Does it in fact NOT cover 3.6 engines?

Thank you.

If you can't find it, PM what you are looking for. I have workshop manuals that include the 5.3 and 3.6

The Table of Contents shows 3.6 info. You should be good. I just picked up the 4.0 Workshop Manual. $10, can't beat it.

Yes mine is definitely for 3.6. There are other manuals for other variants. Great value.
