Default Running the v12 with no brake fluid in the system.

can I restart my v12 while the brake system has no fluid in it? Or will it damage the brake pump motor or anything like that? Obviously I’m not planning on driving it anywhere just going through the recommissioning process and first up is to get it running.many thanks

I'd play it safe and remove the ABS fuses before starting it.

Pull the fuse for the ABS pump or disconnect it otherwise you will burn the motor out.

Hi Brinny

Don't even think about starting the engine unless you disarm the Brake Pump and the ABS or you will burn out the Brake Pump from which there is no way back

On a (UK) Car the Fuses are in a Compartment under the Passenger Knee Pad, which has a button that you can undo with a Coin

The 2 X 30 Amp Fuses for the ABS and the Brake Pump are behind this panel cover

Here they are 2 X 30 Amp Fuses for the ABS and the Brake Pump 'Pull Both of them out' before starting the Car or you will burn out the Brake Pump

There are visble plugs on the pump itself. Accessible without having to go into the footwell...

Thanks I’ve located both the fuses and the plugs. That’s that one sorted.
