I had help from a pro at taking apart interiors, so Im not gonna take credit for the work. I decided to use marine vinyl in green, which is like rubberized leather. Wont absorb moisture, wont fade as easy, the best part is not slipping when taking tight turns. Still considering doing everything in green with the exception of the headliner. I Want to have some contrast inside the car. So heres the current state. I need a new windshield, so will take advantage of having the glass out in order to wrap the dash.
The car had lots of wear as you can see. Very uncomfortable and simply in poor condition. The seats, carpet, door cards, seatbelts, and armrest is all Ive been able to so far.
The quality looks AMAZING. Congratulations. I can’t say that I am a fan of the double colors myself, but the quality on that carpet is insane. Much better than Jaguar out out initially, as even when new, these cars had puzzle pieces for carpet attached with Velcro.
Thanks for the compliments. I am still going to wrap the dash, steering wheel, ebrake, delete the ashtrays and relocate the 12v plug, then wrap the ski slope with the same green vynil, so slowly making it all green. With the exception of the headliner. Im considering mint green, like a Rolex box. Here’s a close up of the door panel. The carpet I purchased is meant for 60’ and 70s classic restorations. The marine vinyl and carpeting does add a great feeling to the interior.
Nice! The ski slope looks clean and neat without the ashtrays. I bet if the carpet was black, it would bring it all together. What color was it originally? All tan?
